A situation at the Metcalfe household leads to a discovery about murdered Rachel Parkinson in Coronation Street soon.
Rachel was apparently killed by her husband Richie (Nathan Sussex) earlier this year. Their daughter Lucy (Anya Dewin) moved in with Sally and Tim Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor and Joe Duttine), and really struggled to settle into their home.
Amid the fact it’s clear Lucy and Richie aren’t being entirely honest about Rachel’s final moments, we now know that Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) is Rachel’s biological mother.
Christina has remained at a distance when it comes to Lucy, with Sally previously telling her that the young woman is currently too vulnerable to process who she really is.
The temptation to cross that boundary increases for Christina in the rest of this week’s episodes, as she uncovers a worrying piece of information.
What happens in Coronation Street today? Tuesday, October 27 spoilers
Home alone, Sally’s paranoia that Mick Michaelis has escaped prison after a riot begins to grow.
Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) visits Sal and tries to reassure her, but that doesn’t stop her mind from going into overdrive. With a mysterious ghost spooking Sally outside, and someone prank calling her, things get even worse when a power cut plunges Weatherfield into darkness.
When the light comes back on, Sally is terrified to see a ghostly figure standing in front of her. In an attempt to defend herself, she smacks the person over the head – but then discovers it’s actually Lucy!
Also, amid the constant drama, there is actually some happiness, as Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) proposes to Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) and she says yes!
In Thursday, October 29’s episode…

In the episode, Christina expresses her concern about Lucy in a chat with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley).
Determined to look after her granddaughter, Christina finds Lucy later in the week looking at old family videos.
