The long running Israeli series Fauda dwells in the bloodsoaked shadows of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. It is gritty and unapologetically realistic. The last time we spoke to one of its creators Avi Issakarof was just after October 7th. He was traumatised like the rest of Israel. Now he’s made season five, focusing on the Hamas attacks, which claimed one of his crew. The season has been a hit but has also had its critics.
