All schools across Sri Lanka closed on October 27 due to bad weather

All schools across Sri Lanka will remain closed on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions, according to an announcement issued by Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary safety measure and applies only to October 27.

However, the GCE Ordinary Level examination practical tests for aesthetic subjects will be held as previously scheduled, despite the school closures. (Newswire)
