Due to Carroll Community College dropping out of the Region 20 women’s volleyball tournament, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College has been added to the postseason field.
The Black Bears (6-14 overall, 5-11 Region 20) enter as the No. 10 seed and will travel to No. 7 College of Southern Maryland (9-6, 9-6) for a first-round matchup at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The winner will advance to Saturday’s quarterfinals against second-seeded Cecil College. Cecil will host the final three rounds of the tournament, with four quarterfinal matchups taking place Saturday, while the semifinals and championship will be held Sunday.
Southern Maryland defeated Penn Highlands 3-0 in the teams’ lone regular-season matchup Oct. 17.
