Rasuwa, Oct 26: A process has begun to provide copies of citizenship certificates to those residing at the holding centres in Nuwakot following the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa on August 26. The holding centre dwellers are from the Uttargaya Rural Municipality in Rasuwa.
Rasuwa's Chief District Officer (CDO) Kamal Prasad Pandey said that process includes gathering applications and issuing citizenship certificate copies for the residents of Uttargaya Rural Municipality who suffered severe implications of the disaster.
According to him, this initiative aims to ensure that there are no hurdles and delays in relief, rehabilitation, or other essential administrative tasks for those who lost important documents, including their citizenship certificates in the disaster.
We have received applications from 2020 floods-affected people from Uttargaya-1. They are presently staying at the Pipaltar Holding Centre in Nuwakot. The District Administration Office collected the applications upon reaching the holding centre.
Once the review and verification of the documents conclude, the citizenship copies will be provided to them upon reaching the facility where they are residing since the disaster. (RSS)
