The Milwaukee Brewers are on the precipice of making history. Thanks in large part to a bonkers eight-run fifth inning and a “masterful” performance from starting pitcher Robert Gasser, the Brewers earned their most dominant win of their World Series clash against the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 — grabbing a 10-1 win in the end to take a 3-0 series lead.
The Brewers are just one win away from winning their first World Series title in franchise history, putting them oh so close to ending the franchise’s 57-year title drought. This team has been special from the start, and there’s no better way to cap off a 103-win campaign — their most wins in a single season in franchise history — than by winning the Fall Classic.
There was even a feel-good moment for the Brewers towards the end, as if extending their lead in the series to 3-0 wasn’t good enough already. Veteran pitcher Brandon Woodruff, who’s endured a plethora of injury problems and pitched in only nine games in 2026, even got a chance to finish off the game in the bottom of the ninth, much to the delight of Brewers fans even though he allowed Tampa Bay to score a consolation run.

But the biggest story of Game 3 is the Brewers’ clutch offense. They scored all eight runs in the fifth inning with two outs. They chased Freddy Peralta by loading the bases, and Milwaukee killed Tampa Bay with a thousand cuts.
They hit two consecutive singles to drive in three runs, and then they had two consecutive doubles to score three more. But they weren’t done yet. The first two hitters to start off the inning, David Hamilton and Jackson Chourio, also had RBI hits for good measure, killing off the game for good.
The Brewers’ first opportunity to close out the Rays will come tomorrow night at 8:00 PM E.T.
