The Wisconsin Badgers reeled in a transfer portal class that saw them gain a newcomer in nearly every major position group.
At the end of the day, this is still a team that lost 24 players to several teams across the nation, including the UCF Knights for linebacker Tackett Curtis. Curtis spent two seasons with the Badgers, where he tallied 56 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and three passes defended. Following the 2025 campaign, the former four-star prospect hit the portal, where he moved to the Knights, ranked as the portal's 111th-best linebacker prospect.

In Curtis’ seven games in the Big 12, the Louisiana native has compiled 42 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions, one pass defended, and one fumble recovery. Curtis has established himself as a standout player in the Big 12 season, and perhaps his biggest contribution so far came in UCF’s 39-31 double-overtime win against then No. 3 BYU Cougars, where his second-quarter interception helped flip the tide in UCF’s shocker.
BYU’s offense, which typically averages 396.5 yards per game, was cut down to 373 this past weekend, the third-lowest of the season against FBS competition for the Cougars.
