Just when we thought we'd seen every possible twist on the humble sausage, Aldi has come along with something rather... odd. The supermarket is giving the classic banger a sweet makeover just in time for Bonfire Night, and we're very intrigued.
Aldi's brand-new Specially Selected Sticky Toffee Apple Pork Sausages land in stores on 2 November, costing just £2.29 for a pack of six. And while the combination of sausage, apple and toffee might sound unusual at first, it's actually a surprisingly fitting flavour combination for a chilly November evening. Just imagine these sweet, salty bangers with creamy, buttery mash.

Made with 100% British pork, the sausages combine a subtle apple tang with buttery toffee sweetness, before being finished with a golden caramelised glaze. The result is a sweet-and-savoury banger that's a little different from the usual pork and sage offering, but still feels perfectly suited to a Bonfire Night feast.
We're already imagining these served alongside a creamy, buttery pile of mash, a generous dollop of mustard and perhaps some roasted vegetables, with the caramelised glaze adding an extra sticky, savoury-sweet finish. And if you're a fan of the increasingly popular sweet-and-savoury food trend, these could be right up your street.

Aldi has also leaned into the Bonfire Night theme with its launch timing, giving shoppers the chance to add something unexpected to their traditional bonfire spread. At £2.29 for six, they're an inexpensive way to experiment with something new, whether you're hosting friends, feeding the family or simply fancy trying a banger with a difference.
The Specially Selected Sticky Toffee Apple Pork Sausages are available in Aldi stores nationwide from 2 November, while stocks last.
