Apple unveiled a new version of the iPad Mini with an OLED screen, a water and dust resistant design, and a faster processor, at the start of a week of announcements about new products the company plans to launch.
According to the company's statement, the new device starts at $699 (Dh2,567), an increase of $100 (Dh367) compared to the previous version, and is powered by an A20 Pro processor. The new version is available with storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
Pre-orders for the device are scheduled to open on Wednesday, with sales beginning on November 6th. The top-of-the-line version (with 512GB of storage) will cost $1099 (Dh4,036).
The launch of the new iPad comes as part of a series of products that Apple is preparing to unveil during the last week of October, as the company plans to announce a new version of the iMac and MacBook Pro powered by the M6 processor.
