Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB Plc) has inaugurated a Digital Learning Centre, at Wisdom International School of Excellence (WISE) in Sauka, Lugbe, Abuja.
The initiative is dedicated to honouring Ms Serah Yusuf, the winner of the 2025 Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition.
The establishment of the educational facility is part of the broader goal of the Maltina Teacher of the Year initiative, which celebrates exceptional educators while providing tangible benefits to their students and school communities.
The digital learning centre, developed by the Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, is equipped with computers, internet connectivity, a smart screen, computer-based testing (CBT) facilities, digital learning and assessment tools, and a 10KVA solar-powered inverter system.

Chukwuemeka Aniukwu, the Head of Public, External, and Government Affairs at NB Plc, stated that the project demonstrated the Trust Fund’s commitment to extending the impact of the Maltina Teacher of the Year award beyond individual recognition, aiming to deliver lasting benefits to schools and their communities.
“Through this project, we want to ensure that the achievements of outstanding teachers translate into significant advantages for their schools. By investing in digital learning, we are creating more opportunities for students to access technology-enabled education,” he remarked.
Dr. Iyabode Alli, Deputy Director of Education from the Federal Ministry of Education, praised the trust fund for its contribution to educational development. She emphasised the importance of digital learning infrastructure and public-private partnerships in enhancing teaching and learning outcomes.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by representatives from the Federal Ministry of Education, the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Union Bank of Nigeria Plc (a partner in the initiative), Nigerian Breweries Plc, and the school community.
