She spoke about the ongoing custody battle, revealing how the dispute has affected her daily life.
How has life been for Sky post her mum's death?
"You don't know how much stress this has been causing me every day," she said.
"I go to school thinking about how this court case is going to end. I even have a calendar where I have been counting down to Friday, October 23 (the court date). Imagine, instead of concentrating on school, I am counting down the days until that date."
The teenager spoke candidly about how the situation had robbed her of what should be a carefree period in her life, saying she was struggling to make friends or enjoy her youth while dealing with adult-level pressures.
"At my age, I should be making friends and having fun, not worrying about things being said about my mum, conspiracies being spread about me, or what transpired when she died," she said.
"I am not supposed to be dealing with such issues, and it is affecting my mental health."
Sky also revealed that she had gone two months without posting on social media, not out of choice, but because picking up a camera triggers memories of her mother.
"Every time I pick up a camera, I feel traumatised because it reminds me of when my mum used to be the one holding it for me," she said.
"She was the one telling me what to do and guiding me along the way."
She admitted that despite trying to stay strong, her resilience was wearing thin.
"I am so tired. I know I am strong, but nguvu zinaishanga," she said, adding that prayer had been her anchor, a habit she credited to her late mother.
She closed her appeal with a direct plea to the public:
"You don't know how traumatising it is to lose my mum at such a tender age. It is not fair to Danny and me. Please help us."
Betty, widely celebrated for her gospel song 11th Hour, passed away on November 10, 2025, at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, where she was receiving treatment for acute leukaemia.
Her family said she suffered excessive bleeding and that doctors were unable to stabilise her condition.
Her death left Sky and her younger brother Danny at the heart of a contested custody dispute between their biological father, Pastor Victor Kanyari, and their stepfather, Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash.
The case was the backdrop to Sky's emotional video, in which she also addressed the court ruling and its impact on both siblings.

Sky said the ruling left her unable to sleep and her younger brother in tears, and insisted she did not want to live with their biological father, Victor Kanyari.
