Skip Bayless was pleased to hear Dak Prescott’s comments about the team having hopefully found some momentum after their 38-21 win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
The Cowboys went into the game against the Eagles, having lost two games in a row, which put them in a difficult position. Their offence looked completely underwhelming, despite having the likes of Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
However, going into the game against the Eagles, they knew that the team were completely hampered by injuries, and it was the perfect time for the Cowboys to show how dominant they could be. Prescott led the way, throwing for 212 yards while completing three touchdown passes on the night.
After the game, the quarterback made some positive comments, which impressed analyst Skip Bayless.
Skip Bayless thinks the Dallas Cowboys can turn things around with win over the Eagles
While the fact that the Eagles were shorthanded is true, what the Cowboys displayed was an indication that this team can produce some great performances.
Having looked completely lost throughout this season, Prescott stated that the win against the Eagles could help the team build some momentum. Bayless, who is a firm supporter of the Cowboys, seemed to agree with him and laid down some valid points.
“Loved what Dak just said on ESPN/ABC, ‘Momentum is real.’ We finally have a little bit; now take it home and take care of business against Arizona. We have the third-easiest strength of remaining schedule so we should be able to make some hay here going into November. I’d take 9-8; that was my prediction going at the year start. Maybe 10-7, I’d take it and run with it. 9-8 could win the division; I think we are off to the races,” said Bayless.
The Cowboys are currently second in the division behind the New York Giants, who have found a new lease on life with quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
However, with games against struggling teams like the Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and Washington Commanders, the Cowboys could, in fact, go on to win the division. If the offence clicks as it did against the Eagles, the Cowboys definitely stand a chance to make a push for not just the divisional title but also a deep playoff run.
