Six Pets Are a Tough Test for Any Robot Vac-Mop. Eufy’s Omni E35 Held Its Own.

“Baby-grade clean” is a bold promise for a robot vacuum. When Eufy used it to describe the Omni E35, my first question was what that even meant. My second was whether a robot could live up to it in a house like mine. I have enough experience with robot vacuums to know that big promises often shrink once a machine meets real floors, real pets, and real messes.

So I gave it a real mess. I spilled coffee on my kitchen floor, let it dry into a sticky brown patch, and sent the E35 after it. One pass later, the stain was gone.

Even when I’m not purposely making a mess, my house makes a pretty good proving ground. I have two dogs, four cats, and a steady stream of foster kittens, which makes me an overachiever in the pet-friendly household category. I also like my floors to look clean—and actually be clean enough to walk on barefoot, regardless of the current pet population.

That’s why the E35’s focus on health caught my attention. It washes its mop with hot water, eliminates 99.99 percent of bacteria in third-party testing, and carries an Asthma & Allergy Friendly certification. After a month of near-daily cleaning, the E35 has turned out to be one of the most hands-off, deep-cleaning robot vacuums I’ve tested, and the few trade-offs I found are small ones.

How I Tested the Omni E35

I ran the E35 nearly every day for a month, vacuuming and mopping across hardwood, laminate, tile, area rugs, a low-pile entry rug, and medium-pile carpet in my bedrooms, office, and hallway. I tested every feature and mode first, then let it settle into everyday life to see how it handled an ordinary (okay, slightly over-furred) home.

I also watched how it tackled specific messes, including pet hair, tracked cat litter, spilled flour and sugar, and that dried coffee. Throughout, I compared its results with the other robot vacuums I’ve run in the same rooms.

Here’s What “Baby-Grade Clean” Means

No official “baby-grade” standard exists, so I dug into what Eufy means by it. Turns out that the phrase bundles several features and third-party certifications that target the floor-level germs and allergens that crawling babies (and nosy pets) meet first.

The base station washes the roller mop with 140°F water after every cycle, then dries it with 131°F hot air to head off mold and odors. TÜV, a network of independent organizations that tests and verifies product safety and performance claims, found that the mop system eliminates 99.99 percent of bacteria. On the vacuum side, five-layer filtration captures 99.99 percent of particles down to five microns, and the E35 earned Asthma & Allergy Friendly certification through the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and Allergy Standards Limited. That means independent testing confirmed it pulls allergens like dust mites and pet dander from floors without blowing them back into the air.

It also cleans within 2 mm of the wall, so it doesn’t leave a grimy strip along baseboards where little hands and paws might explore—and a place I least want to spend time cleaning by hand. For families with babies, anyone managing allergies or asthma, or people who just want proof of a deep clean, that combination backs up the marketing phrase.

Dried-On Stains Don’t Stand a Chance

When I tested the Eufy Omni E25, its self-cleaning roller mop convinced me that robots can mop. The E35’s HydroJet 2.0 system pushes that idea further. Its 32 jets saturate the roller while dual scrapers strip away dirty water, and the system refreshes the roller eight times per second. The roller presses down with 16 newtons of constant pressure, so it scrubs rather than skims.

The new Heavy Stain Deep Mop mode handled my coffee test and more. When the robot spots a stain, it saturates the area, lets it soak for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrubs it away. That’s how my coffee stain disappeared in one pass, and it didn’t leave a sticky film behind.

The everyday mopping impressed me just as much. After it cleaned up flour and sugar spills, I found no streaks, residue, or damp patches, and the floors felt clean under my bare feet.

Suction Keeps Up With a Full House of Pets

The E35 pulls with 35,000 Pa of suction, and Eufy’s AeroTurbo 2.0 multi-cyclone system strips more than 99 percent of fine dust before it reaches the filter. That design keeps the filter from clogging, so suction stays steady over time instead of fading. In fact, TÜV certified that the E35 maintains its full 35,000 Pa for 365 days.

I saw that power at work on the medium-pile carpet in my bedrooms and hallway. Plus, it cleaned up kitty litter and crumbs without stranding stray bits, a common problem with other robots.

The retractable dual-arm roller brush deserves its own round of applause. It closes tight to grip hair while cleaning, then opens at the dock to release everything into the dust bag. Even with dog and cat fur, and long human hair in the mix, the roller looks spotless every time I flip the robot over. I haven’t touched it with scissors once.

Corners Finally Get Cleaned

Most robot vacuums treat corners as optional. The E35 doesn’t. Its square body, dual 1.6-inch side brushes, extendable roller mop, and side line laser let it angle itself into corners and work along edges, and it cleans under most average-depth toe kicks in my kitchen and bathrooms. I don’t have to follow it with a stick vacuum or broom.

It also crosses flooring transitions and threshold strips smoothly, moving from tile to rug to carpet without getting hung up.

It Works When I’m Not There to Help

I usually do a quick sweep for cat toys, shoes, pet beds, and blankets before a cleaning run. Some days I skip it, and some days the pets drag everything back out the minute I’m done. Either way, the E35 steers around the clutter. Its AI-See 3.0 system combines an RGB camera, an LED fill light, and dual line lasers to recognize more than 280 objects as small as one cubic centimeter, and it navigates just as well in a pitch-dark room.

That reliability means I can start it from my phone when I’m out and come home to clean floors rather than a robot tangled in a blanket. It also runs quietly enough that I forget it’s working. I can work in my office with the door open while it cleans the hallway right outside and not hear it. When it disappears under my bed, I can’t hear it from across the same room.

It Looks Good Enough for the Living Room

I usually tuck robot vacuum docks in the kitchen, but I liked the E35’s look so much that I set it up in my living room. The cabinet comes in solid black, the clean and dirty water tanks are fully opaque, and the whole thing reads more like a speaker or sleek audio gear than a cleaning appliance.

A light on top of the robot stays on while it’s working or charging, and otherwise the setup blends right in. The footprint is small, too, so it doesn’t hog floor space.

As good as the station looks, it works even better. I loved how the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra took mop maintenance off my plate, and the E35’s ThermoFresh station brings the same hands-off convenience. It empties the robot into a 2.5-liter dust bag, refills and drains the water, dispenses detergent, and handles all the mop washing and drying.

One App Runs Every Robot in My House

The Omni E35 uses the same Eufy Clean app as my other Eufy robot vacuums, which makes life easier in my multi-robot household. If you stick with one brand, you can add new machines and manage them all from one spot.

The app makes sense from the first tap. It opens to a live map that shows where the robot is and what it’s doing, and I can start a full cleaning with one tap or pick specific rooms right on the map. Drawing a no-go zone takes a quick drag of my finger, and I can set suction and water levels room by room, so the kitchen gets a heavier mop than the wood floors in my living room.

Schedules, cleaning modes, child lock, and cleaning history are all a tap or two away rather than hiding in submenus. You can also start cleaning with your voice through the app or with Alexa.

The Trade-Offs Are Small

The hot-air drying cycle keeps the mop and dock smelling fresh, but it takes a while to finish. Since the machine does all the work, that barely registers as a complaint.

You also have to open the clean water tank to check its level. That’s the price of the opaque tanks, though, and I’d make that trade for the clean look.

Lastly, the dirty water tank can get smelly if you don’t empty it promptly. I suspect the warmth from the drying cycle plays a role, but I’ve noticed the same thing with other mopping robots. Emptying it soon after mopping sessions solves the problem.

Final Thoughts

The Eufy Omni E35 is the robot vacuum I’d recommend to families with babies or crawling toddlers, anyone managing allergies or asthma, and pet owners who want proof their floors are clean. It scrubbed away a dried coffee stain in one pass, cleaned corners I’d usually have to hit by hand, and kept its roller hair-free for an entire month in a house full of pets.

It costs $1,299, landing it somewhere in the middle pricewise. It costs more than entry-level robots but less than Eufy’s flagship Omni S2, and it delivers a lot of high-end cleaning tech without flagship pricing. If you want a robot vacuum and mop that handles both jobs well and looks good enough to leave in the living room, the Eufy Omni E35 is an easy choice.
