Juventus strengthened their attacking options with the arrivals of Nick Woltemade and Randal Kolo Muani, but the pair have struggled to deliver the goals expected of them. Despite looking promising on paper, the Bianconeri have found it difficult to turn their attacking potential into consistent performances in front of goal.
Woltemade joined Juventus on loan from Newcastle United after the club moved on from Dusan Vlahovic, Lois Openda and Jonathan David. Kolo Muani also arrived during the summer, giving Juve further options as they looked to improve their attacking output.
Kolo Muani has failed to meet expectations
Juventus had high hopes for Kolo Muani because of his previous spell at the club, when he established himself as one of their standout performers. The Bianconeri pursued his return for more than a year before reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the forward has yet to repay that faith with the performances expected of him. Even when starting alongside Woltemade, Kolo Muani has struggled to make the desired impact, leaving Juventus searching for answers in attack.
The difficulties have raised concerns about whether the club has enough reliable goalscorers to compete consistently. While the quality appears to be there, the lack of finishing has become a significant problem for a team that needs its forwards to convert chances into goals.

Ravezzani questions Woltemade’s finishing ability
Woltemade presents a different case. The German has shown encouraging qualities in his performances, contributing to the build-up and helping his teammates get involved in attacking moves. However, his inability to find the net has raised questions about whether he can become a dependable goalscorer.
Journalist Fabio Ravezzani believes Juventus need another striker with stronger finishing instincts. Speaking via Tuttojuve, he explained:
“Juventus also lacks a second striker at the moment, because Juventus has Woltemade, who also played well in the match against Lecce, he touched a lot of balls, he was a protagonist. But he is a player, let’s say, of movement, of the ability to defend the ball, of inviting his teammates to the action, but he is not a striker, he is not a finisher, he never has been and never will be”.
Ravezzani’s assessment highlights Juventus’ need for a forward who can consistently turn opportunities into goals. Woltemade may contribute in other areas, but the team still needs greater efficiency in front of goal.
