This lightweight cabin backpack is designed to fit under the seat and expands from 24 to 30 litres when you need extra room. It's now less than £17 in a limited-time deal.

Trying to squeeze everything into a small cabin bag without paying extra for luggage can be a holiday headache. This expandable Ryanair cabin backpack is currently on a limited-time deal for £16.14, down from £18.99, saving shoppers 15%. Designed to fit the 40 x 30 x 20cm underseat cabin bag dimensions, the travel backpack could be a handy option for weekend breaks, city escapes and short-haul flights.

One of its biggest selling points is the expandable design, which increases the capacity from 24 litres to 30 litres when you need more room. That extra space could come in useful for bringing home souvenirs or packing a few more essentials for a longer trip. When you need to keep within your airline's cabin bag allowance, the expandable backpack can be compressed back down, although it's worth checking the packed dimensions before travelling.

The main compartment opens flat at 180 degrees, suitcase-style, making it easier to organise your clothes and find what you're looking for without having to dig around. There are also multiple pockets to help keep smaller essentials in order, so your passport, chargers and other travel bits don't all end up at the bottom of the bag. For anyone who likes to pack neatly, the Ryanair-sized cabin bag has plenty of practical touches for keeping everything organised on the move.

There's a padded compartment designed to fit a laptop of up to 16 inches, which could make this a useful choice for business trips as well as holidays. The bag also has a breathable mesh back panel for carrying comfort and a separate internal space for wet items, helping to keep damp swimwear or other wet belongings away from the rest of your packing. These details are among the features that make the lightweight travel backpack worth a closer look if you want more than a basic holdall.

Despite its storage options, the backpack weighs just 0.8kg, leaving more of your airline baggage allowance available for your belongings. Its water-resistant exterior is another useful feature for unexpected showers while travelling, although it shouldn't be treated as fully waterproof. The black expandable cabin backpack is designed for use with airlines including Ryanair, easyJet and Wizz Air, but remember that baggage rules can differ by ticket type and airline, so check your booking before heading to the airport.

One five-star reviewer was particularly impressed by the quality and range of features, praising the discreet pockets, padded space for a tablet or laptop and breathable mesh on the back. They also highlighted the separate space for wet items and the expandable design, saying it was useful for larger baggage allowances or bigger trips. That positive feedback suggests the travel-friendly cabin bag has plenty of practical features for shoppers looking to stay organised on their next getaway.

At £16.14, compared with its usual listed price of £18.99, this backpack offers a saving of £2.85 while bringing together expandable storage, a laptop compartment and a suitcase-style opening. If you're looking for a versatile bag for short breaks or everyday travel, the Ryanair cabin backpack could be worth considering while the limited-time deal is available.
