Whale Alert confirmed the creation of 250 million USDC at the USDC Treasury on October 26, 2026, adding liquidity to the cryptocurrency market. The USDC minting’s impact on trading behavior and Bitcoin dominance is a potential consequence as major crypto assets show mixed momentum.
Whale Alert records 250 million USDC at the Treasury
The transaction involved 250,000,000 USDC, valued at approximately $250,064,375, according to Whale Alert. The token count and dollar valuation are separate figures: the reported $250 million mint refers to the scale of the issuance.
Whale Alert tracks significant cryptocurrency transactions in real time. Its confirmation identifies the USDC Treasury as the location of the minting event.
The issuance increases cryptocurrency market liquidity. USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, and the USDC Treasury manages its minting.
The additional liquidity could influence trading behavior, particularly around Bitcoin dominance. That is a potential effect of the issuance, rather than a measured change in dominance established by the transaction itself.
On-chain metrics, trading volumes and Bitcoin dominance are the indicators identified for assessing market reactions following the mint. The broader cryptocurrency market shows mixed signals, with momentum varying across major assets.
Those measures address different parts of the event: Whale Alert’s transaction data establishes the issuance, while subsequent on-chain activity and trading volumes are the metrics identified for gauging its near-term market effects. The confirmed transaction totals 250 million newly minted USDC.
