STOCKHOLM, October 27. /TASS/. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store dismissed claims that Oslo’s partners had not been informed in advance about his and Finnish President Alexander Stubb’s phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
"I'd like to push back. In the last four years, the EU failed to develop a unified stance or a common position. We speak on our own behalf, not on someone else’s behalf, but this had been discussed very thoroughly and our allies had been informed in advance," NRK TV channel quoted Store as saying.
He was responding to a rebuke from Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen who said the Store-Stubb phone call had not been pre-arranged with European allies.
Earlier on Tuesday, Store and Stubb held a phone call with Putin. The three leaders discussed the Ukraine crisis and agreed to continue to maintain direct contacts over the phone, the Kremlin recounted.
