Fearing that an escaped prisoner was in her home, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) has attacked a member of her own family in Coronation Street.
In today's episode, she and husband Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) were still insistent that troubled foster daughter Lucy Parkinson (Anya Dewin) couldn't attend her school mate's Halloween party.
They thought that going to the Rovers' bash would be a better compromise, and even dug out one of Rosie Webster's (Helen Flanagan) old outfits from her goth days to use as a costume.
As the blended family began to head out, the couple's other foster child Joanie Michaelis (Savanna Pennington) read an online article about a riot at her dad Mick's (Joe Layton) prison. Given he'd managed to escape before, she wondered whether he might be successful again.
Sally and Tim played down the suggestion, though Lucy said she'd be overjoyed if her dad Richie (Nathan Sussex) managed to escape his own imprisonment.
Later, while Sally was watching a film on the sofa, she heard noise from partygoers outside and was startled by the sight of someone wearing a ghost costume at the window. She quickly shut the blinds and summoned next-door copper Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) and her wife Carla (Alison King).
After explaining that she thought the ghost might be an escaped Mick, Lisa reassured her that the riot was under control and that nobody had managed to leave the confines.
However, when the landline called twice and there was nobody on the other end of the phone, Sally began to panic again. Her fear was intensified by a sudden power cut that hit the cobbles, and she quickly picked up a vase as protection.
Suddenly, a figure appeared behind her, and Sally whacked them over the head.
When Tim returned home, he was shocked to find Lucy sat on the staircase with blood pouring from her head. Sally tried to explain her actions, saying that the teenager was dressed as a ghost and she feared that it was Mick.
Lucy didn't want to listen to her excuses - and insisted that it was a targeted attack because Sally didn't want to live with her anymore.
What will Sally and Tim do?
