Something potentially significant could happen for NEAR Protocol by January 1, 2027, as Elon Musk’s Grok AI predicts an extreme, speculative scenario based on a hypothetical, albeit highly unlikely, landmark catalyst that would see it soar to new highs.
The concept revolves around a coordinated initiative in which a consortium of major technology companies and leading AI research institutions formally designates NEAR Protocol as the primary high-performance blockchain for a large-scale decentralized AI agent network and data marketplace.
Within this framework, autonomous AI agents would use NEAR for coordination, payments, and verifiable computation globally. This could lead to explosive on-chain activity and position NEAR as essential infrastructure for the decentralized AI economy.

NEAR Technical Analysis: Can AI Agents Fuel Explosion to $7?
On the higher timeframes, NEAR has been consolidating in the $4.40–$4.70 region after a broader pullback from higher levels earlier in the cycle. Price continues to hold above key intermediate supports while facing resistance around the $5.00–$5.50 zone.
In a standard bull market, a sustained breakout above $6.00–$7.00 would confirm intermediate strength and open the path toward higher cycle targets and a longer-term recovery toward the prior all-time high near $20.
Under the extreme decentralized AI agent and data marketplace adoption scenario outlined above, clearing significant resistance levels would likely trigger powerful measured-move extensions and multi-cycle Fibonacci projections from the longer-term base.
Momentum indicators are currently neutral, with substantial room to run into the extreme overbought readings typical of parabolic advances.
Key nearer-term supports sit near $4.20–$4.30 and $3.80–$4.00; holding those levels would keep the broader recovery structure intact.

Supporting Catalysts Beyond NEAR That Could Boost the Market
BREAKING: The U.S. is now preparing to launch major strikes on Iran “within 96 hours” of receiving an order from President Trump, with planning shifted beyond easily rebuilt targets like missile launchers to nuclear facilities, energy infrastructure and military bases, per CNN.…

Several external developments could enhance this optimistic outlook. Globally, a lasting resolution to major geopolitical conflicts, such as the Russia-Ukraine war or a stable ceasefire involving Iran, along with the normalization of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, could lower risk premiums and encourage capital to flow into growth and technology assets.
From an economic standpoint, if major central banks shift toward more accommodative monetary policies while maintaining high liquidity, it would encourage risk-taking across markets.
In the cryptocurrency sector, continued growth in Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF inflows, increasing institutional adoption of smart contract platforms, rising interest in AI-related blockchain developments, and a sustained appetite for altcoins would create a favorable liquidity environment. This environment would particularly benefit high-performance Layer-1 networks like NEAR.
The Big NEAR Prediction: How High Does Elon Musk’s Grok AI Think It’ll Go?
Under this highly speculative scenario, and assuming a full-blown crypto bull market returns alongside supportive external conditions, NEAR could reach between $45 and $80, with a stretch target toward $120+ by January 1, 2027.
This remains pure speculation and entertainment, not a realistic base-case outlook. The core catalyst would require extraordinary coordination among major technology and AI players that is currently highly unlikely.
