Libya’s Tripoli based General Union of Chambers of Commerce reported yesterday that France's trade and industry association, EVOLEN, is to lead more than 25 companies to participate in the Libyan-European Forum for Oil, Energy and Gas.
The event will be held in Madrid from 2-3 December 2026 under the supervision and organization of the General Union of Chambers.
EVOLEN represents companies and professionals working across the energy sector, including oil, gas, and new/renewable energies.
The General Union said this participation comes within the framework of strengthening Libyan-French and European cooperation in the fields of oil, gas and energy. It comes with a focus on technical support services for the sectors, exploring partnership and investment opportunities, and exchanging technical and technical expertise between the participating companies.
This participation, it added, is expected to represent an opportunity to enhance communication between Libyan institutions and companies and their French counterparts, and to open new horizons for cooperation in the implementation of projects and the development of technical and technical services that support the sector.
The confirmation of the participation of EVOLEN, the General Union noted, reflects the interest of French companies in expanding the areas of cooperation with the Libyan market, in order to support the development of the oil, gas and energy sector and enhance opportunities for economic and investment partnerships between the two sides.
