The Jacksonville Jaguars will look to further their lead in the AFC South in their second divisional game of the season against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.
The Jaguars (4-2) are coming off their bye week. For a second straight season, they lost a key member of their roster during their off week — Anton Harrison will miss the remainder of 2026 — but that’s really the only thing that could keep Jacksonville’s vibes down. They’re still in the driver’s seat in the division and appear ready to compete for the conference’s No. 1 seed this postseason.
The Colts (2-5) just dropped their third straight loss. They recently fired longtime general manager Chris Ballard, and the future is anything but guaranteed for head coach Shane Steichen and quarterback Daniel Jones. Another loss this week in Jacksonville could push Indianapolis to trade away the veteran talents who have boosted the roster for so long (Jonathan Taylor, Quenton Nelson, DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart). This 2026 season looks like the start of a lengthy rebuild for the Colts.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Jaguars are 7.5-point favorites against the Texans in Week 8. The total is set at 46.5 points.
What are your thoughts on the opening line, Jags fans? The Colts haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014 (!). Is there any reason to expect that to change?
