A Twitch streamer with more than 1.7 million followers has died in a suspected suicide — just days after sharing a haunting final post.
Carlos Mauricio Gómez, known online as Komanche, was found dead in his rental home in Monterrey, Mexico, on Sunday, his manager, Byron Reyes, confirmed the next day — while lashing out at online trolls.
“Bullying at any scale is not a game,” the manager said.
While known online for his skits, Komanche previously opened up about struggling with depression, schizophrenia, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder — and admitted three failed attempts at taking his life, Mexican outlet Infobae reported.
He also made clear his dark state of mind in a final X post just six days before his suspected suicide.
“The days just don’t get any better,” he wrote on Monday last week in a heartbreaking post now viewed nearly 10 million times.
Police found Komanche’s body after neighbors saw the rental door’s property left open, according to El Pais.
Investigators found no signs of violence and suspect he died by suicide, the reports stated.
Komanche had shared about his mental health battles and suicide attempts in a now-harrowing October 2023 video in which he admitted, “I should have sought help and I didn’t.”
The influencer — who helped create the Minecraft event the “Squid Craft Games,” inspired by the Netflix hit series “Squid Game” — was also caught up in controversy in the years leading up to his death.
In November 2025, Twitch bosses temporarily suspended Komanche after he was involved in an argument with another streamer during the Squidcraft Games 4 event.
In January, he declared he was leaving Twitch because of “people who don’t want [him] on the platforn.”
Just weeks before his death, he was also accused of harassment by female streamers, Infobae reported, without sharing further details.
