Jalen Williams helped the Oklahoma City Thunder secure a 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, but the win came at a significant cost. The 25-year-old forward was forced off the court late in the game after suffering a frightening injury while attacking the basket.
Williams remained on the floor as medical personnel rushed to his aid, leaving teammates and fans concerned. He was eventually taken off on a stretcher, giving the crowd two thumbs up as he departed. Oklahoma City awaited further medical examinations to determine the extent of the damage. And on Monday, Thunder general manager Sam Presti delivered an update on Williams.

Jalen Williams injury woes continue
Williams has endured previous injury problems, appearing in only 33 regular-season games last season amid hamstring issues and recovery from wrist surgery. He had returned to action hoping for a healthier campaign, making the latest setback particularly difficult for the Thunder.
Oklahoma City will now have to adjust its rotation while awaiting further information on both players. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the remaining healthy players will be asked to shoulder more responsibility as the team navigates the early-season absences.
