Marine Le Pen Declares France Will Not Surrender in Defiant Orleans Campaign Launch
Marine Le Pen opened her 2027 presidential bid in Orleans on October 25 with a message of unbroken national will. Addressing the crowd, she declared: “Ladies, Gentlemen, dear friends! There are cities, you know, that carry within them the symbol of a history.
Orleans, where we are, is one of those.” She continued: “In this city, my friends, which knew the trial, the fear, the encirclement, history teaches us a lesson that spans the centuries: no defeat is definitive as long as a people refuses to resign itself to it!”
The National Rally leader walked onstage to roaring cheers, framing her run as a renaissance for French sovereignty. Recent cost-of-living protests that spiraled into riots and looting have sharpened her pitch.
She is calling for restored order, zero-tolerance policing, tighter borders, and a sharp reduction in EU control over French affairs. Le Pen leads early polls with 32 to 38 percent first-round support, positioning herself as the candidate who will cut crime, protect French culture, and reject managed decline ahead of the April 2027 election.
Orleans has long stood for resistance against those who would overrun it. Le Pen is betting the same spirit still runs through France.
