The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NC3), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation and the National Communications Authority (NatCA), is taking cybersecurity awareness messages to major marketplaces and surrounding communities across Sierra Leone.
The ongoing Regional Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign aims to educate citizens on how to stay safe online, understand the laws designed to protect them, and use digital platforms responsibly.
As part of the campaign, members of the public are also being reminded to register their SIM cards using their National Identification Number (NIN) before the November 1, 2026 deadline.
By taking cybersecurity education directly to market traders and community members, the initiative seeks to promote digital safety, encourage responsible online behaviour, and strengthen public awareness of cybersecurity risks.
The campaign highlights the importance of collective responsibility in creating a safer digital environment for all.
