Such a hit was season one of the show that the BBC actually commissioned season three before our second installment even hit screens!
Discussing the commission of season three, creator, lead writer, and executive producer Stephen Butchard shared, 'Following the quite breathtaking response to series one, myself, the cast and our wonderful crew were all determined not to drop the ball and endeavour to deliver an even better series two! No spoilers, but I’m hoping this fantastic early commission from the BBC for a third series is an indication that we may have come close to doing just that...hope you enjoy series two as much as we enjoyed making it - can't wait to do it all over again!"
When will season three of This City Is Ours be released?
Here's the kicker... It likely won't land on our screens for a little while yet. Filming for season three is set to begin in 2027, with a release date not yet known. Either way, it doesn't seem likely we'll reunite with the Phelan's until earliest late 2027 - but we'll keep you updated when we know more.
