Taylor Swift was not alongside Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs during their road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on “Sunday Night Football.” The global music superstar was not shown during NBC’s broadcast, indicating that she decided to skip the game at Lumen Field.
Swift’s absence quickly became a talking point, especially because she has become a regular presence at Chiefs games in recent weeks since beginning her relationship with Kansas City’s star tight end.

Last week, the singer attended the Chiefs’ 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, watching the action from a suite alongside family and friends.
During that CBS broadcast, Swift was shown with her mother-in-law, Donna Kelce, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, and singer Este Haim, celebrating after Travis Kelce hauled in a reception over the middle during the second quarter.
Swift and Clark, who is both a Chiefs fan and a close friend of Kelce, had previously shared a suite in January 2025 when Kansas City faced the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium.
Taylor Swift makes headlines again with her absence
While Swift was not in attendance, Travis Kelce was seen before the matchup against the Seahawks in Seattle as the Chiefs looked to keep their perfect season alive.
The NFL superstar and his brother, former Super Bowl champion and current ESPN analyst Jason Kelce, have also turned their podcast “New Heights” into one of the biggest sports shows in the country. Last week, Caitlin Clark even had a special Nike activation during the show’s pre-event.
Swift attended the Chiefs’ Week 6 matchup after performing at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles the night before.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner has also made headlines for her private jet travel, including flying from Tokyo to Los Angeles and then to Las Vegas to watch the Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime during Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.
Swift and Kelce were married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, nearly a year after announcing their engagement.

Travis Kelce delivers record-breaking night
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continued to strengthen his Hall of Fame résumé on Sunday night against the Seahawks, reaching another historic milestone in his legendary career.
Kelce broke Tony Gonzalez’s NFL record for career receiving yards by a tight end, including the playoffs, surpassing the Hall of Famer’s mark of 15,413 total receiving yards.
Gonzalez retired with 15,413 career receiving yards — 15,127 in the regular season and 286 in the playoffs. Kelce entered the game needing just 35 yards to pass Gonzalez and officially moved ahead after reaching the milestone.
Kelce also climbed the NFL’s all-time regular-season receptions leaderboard. Entering the game with 1,100 career catches, the Chiefs star needed three receptions to pass Marvin Harrison (1,102) and move into the Top 5 all-time.
After reaching that mark, Kelce joined an exclusive group of players with more than 1,102 career receptions. The only players ahead of him are Jerry Rice (1,549), Larry Fitzgerald (1,432), Tony Gonzalez (1,325) and Jason Witten (1,228).
