Vijay Deverakonda has hit back at online trolls with a blunt message after facing criticism over his relationship with wife Rashmika Mandanna. The actor addressed the backlash following their appearance on Koffee With Karan. On Monday, October 26, he shared a carousel of pictures on Instagram alongside a personal message celebrating their marriage. He also made it clear that public criticism would not affect their relationship.
The Liger actor began his post by expressing his love and admiration for Rashmika. Calling her his best friend, wife and woman, Vijay described their relationship as one of the best parts of his life. He said he felt he had made the right choice in their relationship. His message focused on their happiness rather than the criticism surrounding their recent television appearance.

Vijay directly addressed those questioning their marriage and reassured his followers that both partners were happy together. “For all those concerned, We are both gloriously happy. I am blessed,” he wrote. He then made his position clear, adding, “If its me and her against the world – so be it.” The actor’s words reflected his determination to stand by Rashmika despite the ongoing online backlash.
However, Vijay’s message took a more aggressive turn when he addressed his critics. He ended that part of the caption with a four-word expletive, telling people to “go f— themselves.” The actor made the remark while dismissing unsolicited opinions about his private life. He concluded his post by expressing affection for those who support the couple and appreciate their approach to happiness.

Meanwhile, Rashmika had also responded to the criticism in a lengthy Instagram statement on the same day. She described the reaction to their Koffee With Karan conversation as an “angry mob looking for someone to vent at.” The actress explained that their discussion about marriage had been misunderstood and taken out of context. She also clarified that their different approaches to commitment never affected the love they shared.
The controversy arose after Rashmika revealed that she had repeatedly asked Vijay to marry her over the course of a year. Vijay jokingly said she needed to ask him 100 times before he would agree. Rashmika later explained that he simply wanted time to consider their future and make sure they were both ready.
