Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2700 processor has reportedly outperformed Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chips in internal performance tests.
The chipset is expected to power at least some models in the Galaxy S27 series, which is likely to launch in early 2027.
According to the latest reports, the Exynos 2700 delivered up to 44% better multi-core CPU performance than the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and also performed better in graphics tests.
Exynos 2700 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6
Samsung reportedly tested the Exynos 2700 against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 found in the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core testing, the Exynos 2700 scored approximately 13,000 points, compared with around 11,000 points for Qualcomm’s processor.
This represents a performance advantage of nearly 20% for Samsung’s upcoming chip. The Exynos 2700 also reportedly scored 15% higher in Geekbench 7.0.
The difference was even larger against the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 used in the Xiaomi 18 Pro.
Samsung’s chipset reportedly delivered 44% better performance in Geekbench 6.5 and 36% better results in Geekbench 7.0.
| Benchmark | Exynos 2700 Advantage |
|---|---|
| Geekbench 6.5 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | Nearly 20% |
| Geekbench 7.0 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | 15% |
| Geekbench 6.5 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 | 44% |
| Geekbench 7.0 vs Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 | 36% |
These figures come from reported internal testing rather than independent benchmarks.
Better Gaming Performance
The Exynos 2700 also reportedly performed better than Qualcomm’s flagship processor in graphics testing.
According to the report, Samsung’s chip delivered approximately 20% higher peak graphics performance in demanding games that use advanced rendering technologies.
It also achieved around 5% better performance in standard high-end 3D gaming tests.
However, detailed results, including actual frame rates and gaming conditions, have not been disclosed.
New 2nm Manufacturing Process
The Exynos 2700 is expected to use Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm manufacturing technology, known as SF2P.
Samsung is also reportedly improving its Heat Path Block (HPB) packaging technology to manage heat more effectively and maintain higher performance.
The new processor will succeed the Exynos 2600, which currently powers some Galaxy S26 models and the Galaxy Z Flip8.
Expected Galaxy S27 Launch
Samsung is expected to introduce the Exynos 2700 with at least some Galaxy S27 models in early 2027.
However, the reported performance figures should be treated cautiously because they come from internal tests.
Independent testing of retail Galaxy S27 devices will be needed to determine whether the Exynos 2700 can maintain its reported performance advantage over Qualcomm’s latest processors.
Its actual battery efficiency, heat management, and sustained gaming performance also remain unknown.
