After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, questions arose regarding what Meghan's mother Doria Ragland's living situation would look like.
Doria has previously been very involved in Harry and Meghan's life, travelling to the UK shortly after the birth of Prince Archie in 2019 and later staying at their Montecito estate to help care for her grandchildren.
While the royal couple are no longer located hours down the road, it is thought that Doria will maintain a close relationship with her daughter and grandchildren.
However, she has previously admitted she struggled with the media attention that came with being linked to the royal family, even stating that she was forced to change her life at her View Park property.

After Harry and Meghan's relationship hit the headlines in 2016, Kensington Palace released a statement on the couple's behalf defending the former Suits actress' privacy.
The statement derailed the "wave of abuse and harassment" towards Meghan, which also extended to her loved ones, including Doria.
"Some of it has been hidden from the public - the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life," it read.

Doria's home features a clay roof, a lime green exterior and palm trees framing the walkway. It has been reported that Doria inherited the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home from her father when he passed away in 2011, and according to a listing on Zillow, it is worth an estimated £678,000.
Why Meghan Markle's mother felt "stalked"
In the Netflix series Harry & Meghan, Doria broke her self-imposed privacy pact to make a rare comment about feeling "unsafe" when paparazzi imposed on her home life.

"I felt unsafe a lot. I can’t just go walk with my dogs. I can’t just go to work, she said. "You know, there was always someone there waiting for me, following me to work. I was being stalked by the paparazzi."
When a paparazzi photographer followed her in her car in an attempt to pay for a story, Doria stood her ground and replied: "This is my child. Like… I’ve nothing to say."
Meghan went on to describe her mother as "classy" and "quiet", adding that she wasn't providing the media with the "drama" they expected.
