Chaya is also producing the film through Moonlit Wings Productions. The project aims to bring more Arab characters into Hollywood stories, particularly in leading roles. Chaya has shared that he rarely saw people like himself represented on screen while growing up.
Despite its title, Crazy Rich Arabs has no connection to the popular film Crazy Rich Asians. The upcoming comedy instead focuses on Arab characters and their experiences through a story built around family, romance and mistaken identities.
