The Philadelphia Eagles’ Monday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys brought another disappointment as Philadelphia suffered five consecutive losses for the first time in 10 years. Moreover, running back Saquon Barkley’s injury scare added to the frustration among Eagles fans. The star running back has now revealed when he first tweaked his hamstring during Monday’s game.
Following the game, Barkley expressed his frustration over the recurring injury concerns.
“I don’t know, I don’t get it,” Barkley said. “I just gotta find a way to get healthy. It’s annoying, but that’s what the season is, that’s what I’m dealing with so far in the season. I just gotta find a way to get healthy.”

Barkley then said the injury happened during one of his early carries against Dallas and recalled feeling his leg being pulled during the play.
“I mean, the first play, or I don’t know. One of my first runs, my head just opened up. I kinda got pulled a little bit, and didn’t really do too much. But that’s how the body works. Sometimes, something’s a little banged up; you’ll compensate a little bit.”
Barkley entered the Week 7 matchup determined to help the Eagles snap their losing streak after missing their previous two games because of a hamstring injury.
Barkley’s latest injury concern comes at a challenging time for Philadelphia, which has struggled to find consistency while dealing with a series of setbacks.
The Eagles are also without quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is expected to miss the remainder of the season because of blood clots, as well as wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks.
However, Barkley made an immediate impact upon returning to the lineup, helping the Eagles establish early momentum on offense. The running back recorded a rushing touchdown and accumulated 62 yards on seven carries.
Philadelphia will hope Barkley’s latest injury is not serious, especially considering his importance to an offense that has struggled in his absence. However, until the team provides a further update on his condition, his availability for the upcoming game remains uncertain.
