Türkiye’s BIST 100 down at opening session

Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 11,138.10 points, down slightly by 0.12% or 13.86 points.

At Monday’s close, the BIST 100 rose by 0.31% to 11,151.96 points, with a daily transaction volume of 104 billion liras ($2.09 billion).

As of 10.20 am local time (0720GMT), exchange rates stood at 49.7875 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 55.6480 to the euro, and 66.3560 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,004.5, while Brent crude futures were trading at $115.8 per barrel.
