Cycling apparel brand MAAP is unifying several supply chain functions onto a single artificial-intelligence-enabled platform through a partnership with technology vendor Bamboo Rose, according to an Oct. 7 press release.
The Australia-based company is specifically bringing planning, design, product development, sourcing and order management onto Bamboo Rose’s TotalPLM platform. With the new technology, MAAP aims to improve data accuracy, increase visibility, reduce manual work and enable faster decision-making, per the release.
MAAP ships its products to customers globally, including within the United States from its warehouse in Los Angeles, per its website. The brand also has storefronts in several major cities, including Los Angeles, Seoul and Amsterdam. Previously, MAAP had to make updates across three software platforms to make a single product change within its global network, according to the release.
"Moving to TotalPLM gives our teams a single source of truth across the product lifecycle,” Erin Height, chief product officer at MAAP, said in the release. “We gain the visibility, accuracy, and automation needed to support MAAP's next phase of growth while giving our teams more time to focus on product innovation.”
MAAP is the latest retailer to implement Bamboo Rose’s technology into its supply chain operations. The technology company has also counted Walmart, apparel retailer Pacsun, grocery retailer Wakefern Food, and apparel and footwear brand R.M.Williams among its client roster.
Walmart and Bamboo Rose partnered in 2023 to develop and implement an enterprise resource planning platform to connect the retail giant's tens of thousands of suppliers through improved volume and cost visibility.
