(ANSA) - ROME, 26 OTT - Kuwait's Q8 company said Monday that it will maintain its caps on fuel prices at its gas stations in Italy, following the lead of Italian State-owned energy giant Eni.
Eni brought in its caps, 2.25 euros for diesel and 1.99 euros for unleaded petrol, for 30 days at the start of this month to help soften the impact of soaring fuel prices due to the impact of the Iran war.
Q8 did likewise as did Azerbaijan's SOCAR with its IP chain.
Last week Eni announced its caps would continue for the rest of 2026 after posting an adjusted net profit of 6.4 billion euros for the first nine months of 2026.
Q8's announcement that it will keep its cap until the end of the year too comes after Premier Giorgia Meloni visited Kuwait last week. (ANSA).
