Alabama football offensive lineman William Sanders had surgery to repair a high ankle sprain, the University of Alabama's name, image and likeness entity announced Monday, Oct. 26.
Sanders had a TightRope surgery, and is considered week-to-week, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed Monday in Birmingham, saying Sanders is "probably a few weeks out, probably two or three weeks."
Sanders left Alabama's win against Texas A&M in the second quarter Saturday, Oct. 24. He was seen with a boot on his right foot and was walking with crutches.
Sanders has played 316 snaps at right guard in 2026, per Pro Football Focus. Kaden Strayhorn replaced Sanders at left guard against Texas A&M. Mal Waldrep Jr. is Alabama's backup left guard, but has taken over center duties with Racin Delgatty out with an injury.
Alabama has an idle week before facing LSU at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.
