Xage Security Named in 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Privileged Access Management

Gartner Recognized Xage for Its Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision

PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 26, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Xage Security, the leader in identity-based Zero Trust for high-stakes environments, today announced that it has been newly named to the Gartner^® Magic Quadrant^™ for Privileged Access Management (PAM).

“To us, Xage’s inclusion in the Gartner Magic Quadrant comes as privileged access is being completely redefined,” said Duncan Greatwood, CEO of Xage Security. “Organizations are no longer managing privilege access for people alone. Machines, applications, and AI agents are gaining more access and autonomy, while AI is making attacks faster, more frequent, and more sophisticated. PAM must evolve with that reality. Organizations require a unified approach to govern human and non-human identities across the entire environment, controlling not only who and what can gain access, but also what they can do after access is granted.”

As Xage expands its presence in enterprise identity security, it is extending protection across human, non-human, and agent identities. Built on the Xage Fabric, the platform provides a unified policy and enforcement layer across IT, cloud, data center, edge, and OT environments while applying identity-based controls to users, machines, applications, workloads, and AI agents.

Xage Extended Privileged Access Management (XPAM) addresses the limitations that have made traditional PAM difficult to extend across the full enterprise digital footprint. XPAM uses an agentless, distributed architecture that streamlines deployment, maintains resilient enforcement, unifies privilege management, controls every access path, reduces cost of ownership, and extends privileged access protection end-to-end across the enterprise.

Key capabilities and differentiators include:

• Unified protection across the entire environment: Apply consistent privileged access controls across users, vendors, machines, applications, AI identities, cloud resources, OT assets, and other critical systems.
• Just-in-time, least-privilege access: Reduce standing privileges with JIT access, layered MFA, session controls, credential rotation, and auditable policy enforcement while supporting operational requirements.
• Secure remote privileged access: Give employees, vendors, and contractors granular access to privileged resources without requiring broad VPN access.
• Identity security for AI agents: Establish privileged access security and governance for machine and agentic AI identities, with granular controls over the resources they can access and actions they can take.
• Accelerated time to value, streamlined deployment: An agentless overlay extends privileged access protection without network redesign, endpoint-agent sprawl, VPN dependency, rip-and-replace efforts, or multi-year deployment projects.
• Lower operational complexity and TCO: Consolidate PAM, secure remote access, MFA and SSO, credential management, and session recording into a unified approach while reducing the infrastructure and operational burden of fragmented privileged access tools.
• Resilient and secure by design: Distributed credential vaulting and local policy enforcement eliminate a central point of failure and maintain protection when connectivity to the cloud or central site is lost.
