Uhuru spoke directly to the nation through Kameme FM's morning show, hosted by presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba.
After being celebrated on air, Uhuru took the moment to speak candidly about the state of the country and what he believes Kenyans need most right now.

He acknowledged that the country is going through a rough patch but encouraged Kenyans not to lose faith.
"I want to thank you guys for remembering me today. I always remember you, too. I am also praying for the country, even if some things are not good. Let's thank God for all the blessings," he said.
Unity was the central thread running through his message. Uhuru insisted that a divided Kenya cannot solve its challenges, and he called on both ordinary citizens and leaders to stop trading insults and instead work together towards a better future.
"Please, people, love each other because when we are united and show love to each other, that is when we are strong. There is no need for people to throw words at each other. Let them calm down, love each other and work together. This country is bigger than everybody, including myself," he said.
Has Uhuru forgiven those who ignored his 2022 General Elections advice?
In a surprising moment, the former president also addressed Kenyans directly over the 2022 general election, when his endorsement of Raila Odinga was widely rejected by many of his own backyard voters.
Rather than holding a grudge, he extended an olive branch, saying forgiveness is the only way forward.
"We also need to forgive each other because there are people I have forgiven, too. I have already forgiven you people," he said, in a clear reference to those who went against his political guidance at the time.
He added that repeating past mistakes is the real danger, and he expressed confidence that Kenyans would not fall into the same trap again.
"They say that making a mistake is not a big issue; the big issue is repeating the mistake. I am sure the people will not repeat that, and that is why I am telling leaders to unite and do the will of the people," he said.
Uhuru wrapped up his birthday message with warmth, keeping it simple and sincere:
"Fellow Kenyans, may you be strong, loved and united."
