You can fight me on this, but I’ve always thought candles were great gifts. (Well, the ones that actually smell good.) Three years ago, my mom got me Voluspa’s 2023 Advent calendar and I was hooked. Voluspa makes some of my favorite candle scents ever, like French Cade Lavender and Baltic Amber, which are both part of the brand’s Japonica collection. The 2026 Alpine Advent calendar features scents from the Japonica and Holiday collections, which means you’ll get a few cute holiday-themed candles—my sister and I both love the new Gingerbread Chalet candle.
Apotheke’s luxurious Advent calendar is for the person who needs enough candles to last them the whole year and wants some accessories to go along with them. With 25 days of surprises that include candles, reed diffusers, and limited-edition candle accessories, their home will be smelling wonderful all year round. I’m personally obsessed with the brand’s Sea Salt Grapefruit and Pumpkin Ginger scents, but I’m sure every single fragrance in here is a win.

My family’s favorite wintertime activity is working on a jigsaw puzzle next to the fireplace (usually while watching The Great British Bake Off). So if your family is anything like mine, you’ll love Galison’s puzzle Advent calendar, which features twelve 80-piece puzzles with illustrations by Michael Storrings of beautiful winter scenes. It’s the perfect way to facilitate some fun family bonding time over the holidays.
Fly By Jing surprised its fans last year with a brand-new Advent calendar filled with its iconic Szechuan flavors—and the brand is back at it again for 2026. Nine small doors reveal jars of spices, sauces, and, of course, its famous chili crisp in different flavors. (I love the original, but if you like an extra kick, make sure to try the Xtra Spicy chile crisp.) And if that wasn’t exciting enough, the big doors contain an even bigger gift—noodles.

This one is for the chocoholic in your life. Behind each of the 24 doors is a milk-chocolate treat that makes a perfect pre-bedtime bite. We pretty much devoured these chocolates at the office, and you really can’t go wrong with a good, classic piece of Lindt chocolate.
Dandelion Chocolate’s Advent calendar was quite possibly the most beautiful one we tested this year. In fact, the ornament boxes that each chocolate comes in are so lovely I just had to keep a few at my desk (even though I don’t have a tree or even a desk plant to put them on). We were even more impressed with the amazing flavors in each chocolate and the designs on each truffle, making each of the 25 chocolates a whole experience. Oh, and it even comes with an illustrated storybook and a keepsake star you can hang in your window, so it really is the whole shebang.

If you have a Keurig (or know someone with a Keurig), this one is a no-brainer. Featuring flavors from iconic brands such as La Colombe, Cinnabon, and Swiss Miss, the 24 Cups of Cheer Advent calendar includes 24 K-Cup pods of seasonal coffees, hot cocoa, refreshers, and one-step lattes so you can start your morning with a festive cuppa every morning until Christmas.
My boyfriend has been extra excited to come to my apartment recently, since he’s been trying out the Cometeer coffee pods from my freezer. With 24 different blends from seasonal favorites and special holiday roasts to rare single origins, this Advent calendar provides a delicious cup of coffee for every December morning until Christmas. And the best part about Cometeer coffee pods? You don’t need a machine, so forget the Keurig or Nespresso. All you have to do is place the frozen coffee in a mug and pour some hot water over it, or let it melt and pour it over milk for a latte or water and ice for iced coffee.

We’ve tested out hundreds of fragrances at Esquire, and Diptyque Paris makes some of our all-time favorites. We even put together a list of our favorite men’s fragrances from the brand last year and have since become obsessed with the new Lazulio scent (which is one editor’s favorite cologne to gift). Considering all that, it’s not hard to see why Diptyque’s Advent calendar has been a best seller for the past decade. Made to look like a craftsman’s toolbox, this year’s calendar opens up to reveal a luxurious surprise in each door, from perfumes and candles to hand creams and body wash. Plus, this one has 25 gifts—one more than usual.
Not only does this Advent calendar feature 24 essentials from Greek skincare and beauty brand Korres (including six full-size products), but the boxes inside make up a 3D puzzle that tells a fairy tale. So you won’t just have fun unboxing all the goodies inside, like serums, shower gels, hand creams, body milks, and more—but you’ll also enjoy the experience of putting the boxes together and discovering the gorgeous illustrations and the story that unfolds.

We’re big fans of Glasshouse Fragrances here at Esquire—I’m personally obsessed with its Kyoto in Bloom and Midnight in Milan perfumes and Christmas-themed candles. The brand’s luxurious Advent calendar includes its best-selling fragrances in mini products such as eau de parfum samples, votive candles, and hand creams. It’s the perfect way to find out which fragrance is your favorite before you invest in a full-size product. And if you don’t want to commit to the 24-day calendar, Glasshouse also makes an amazing 12-day fragrance Advent calendar.

Give your boo (or really anyone) the gift of comforting, holiday-scented showers through the month of December. Each of these 24 sparkling shower steamers is made with essential oils in seasonal scents like peppermint, fir, and rosemary. I’m also in love with the adorable box design featuring colorful, geometric Christmas trees and smiley snowmen.
If you’ve always wanted to try the best cheeses from around Europe, this Advent calendar from Murray’s Cheese is your chance. Not only will you get to taste some immaculate cheeses from Spain, England, the Netherlands, and Greece, but there are also some great pairings included, like Murray’s-exclusive jams and crackers. Everyone knows winter is tea season. A tea Advent calendar is a great gift for anyone—if they love tea, they’ll have 24 new blends to add to their collection, and even if they’re not a huge tea drinker, they’ll get a perfect introduction into the world of tea with one of the most famous tea companies in the world: Twinings. And for $15, you might as well get one for yourself, too.
It’s no secret that I’m kind of a fiend for tea. Between my daily chai lattes and overflowing collection of loose and bagged teas at home, it’s safe to say I’ve tried my fair share of teas. But Adagio Teas’ Advent calendar introduced me to some new, unique tea blends that I can’t get enough of. Each of the calendar’s 24 doors reveals a different bag of loose tea in flavors such as Rooibos Nutcracker, Maple Creme Oolong, and Yuletide Toddy. Every bag has an adorable winter-themed illustration on the front and information on the back about how long to steep, ingredients, and caffeine level. If you’re like me and can’t handle caffeine after 3:00 p.m., go with the decaf version.

For something even more special, Tea Forté makes some of my personal favorite teas, and every bag is in the shape of a pyramid—if you use your imagination, they kind of look like little Christmas trees! This Advent calendar also kind of looks like a Christmas tree, and it’s filled with 24 assorted tea blends from the Warming Joy collection. Some of my favorites include White Ginger Pear, Blueberry Merlot, and Harvest Apple Spice.
I’ve been a fan of Noteworthy’s unique unisex fragrances for years, so when I found out the brand made an Advent calendar, I couldn’t wait to try it out. This fragrance Advent calendar features sample sizes of 12 of the brand’s best-selling eau de parfum sprays so you can try them all and decide which one will be your new signature scent—and then you can scan the QR code on the back of the calendar for a discount on a full-size bottle of your new favorite fragrance. Will it be n,057 with notes of vanilla, passionfruit, and tonka bean? Maybe n,818 with notes of jasmine, milk, and rosewood? My new favorite that I discovered from the calendar is n,551 with notes of lily of the valley, amber, and sandalwood.
