DAEJEON — The Daejeon Tourism Organization said on the 27th that it won the top award in the public enterprise and corporation category at the 16th Korea SNS Awards for the second consecutive year. The ceremony was held on the 26th at the international conference hall of the Korea Press Center.
The organization runs five official channels — a blog, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Threads — and has steadily produced content featuring Kkumdori, Daejeon's signature mascot.
This year it promoted the city from multiple angles through the "Digging Daejeon" series, which explores lesser-known attractions and the stories behind them, interview content featuring local residents, and travel course content aimed at foreign visitors.
"Winning for a second straight year is thanks to the interest and participation of everyone who has enjoyed Daejeon alongside Kkumdori," said Kim Yong-won, president of the Daejeon Tourism Organization. "We will continue to build Daejeon into a tourism city that people want to visit again through distinctive content."
