Uniswap is coming to Elysium. That was the entire announcement on X: five words, no thread, no roadmap.
The short post sits on top of a larger build. Elysium is a new chain designed for speed-obsessed traders, and Uniswap’s contracts could become a core part of its trading plumbing.
What Elysium is building
Elysium is being developed by Kinetiq and is described as a new layer-2 chain on Arbitrum Orbit. A layer-2 is a separate lane built beside a busier highway, meant to move traffic faster and more cheaply.
The chain runs on HyperEVM technology and uses HYPE tokens as its native gas token. Every transaction fee on the network is paid in HYPE, much as fees on Ethereum are paid in ETH.
The performance targets are aggressive. Elysium is aiming for block times of approximately 100-200 ms and throughput of around 300 Mgas/s.
That profile targets a specific crowd: high-frequency traders and professional market makers.
The mainnet chain ID is 999, and the testnet uses chain ID 998. Developers and wallet providers use these numbers to make sure transactions land on the intended network.
Where Uniswap fits in
The Uniswap angle runs through Elysium’s token launch design. Launchpads on the chain, including Supercolony and Citadel, send newly minted tokens straight into locked Uniswap V3 pools quoted against HYPE.
There are no bonding curves and no migrations in that process. A bonding curve is a pricing formula many launchpads use to sell a token at gradually rising prices before it graduates to a real trading pool.
Elysium skips the graduation step entirely. Tokens start life in a locked liquidity pool.
The next layer is the router. As of October 23, 2026, Uniswap V2 routers and upcoming V4 deployments were confirmed for the next batch on the Elysium testnet.
Adding V2 and V4 routing alongside V3 pools could let trades move across different generations of Uniswap liquidity.
The timeline so far
Elysium’s public testnet launched on September 22, 2026. Mainnet is targeted for November 9, 2026.
The chain is in a pre-mainnet phase, with no official figures yet published for total value locked or trading volume.
There is an important caveat in the research. The Uniswap integration is described as limited to on-chain deployments, and no official Uniswap Labs support has been announced.
That distinction matters more than it might sound. Uniswap’s code is open and can be deployed on many chains, but formal backing from the team behind it is a different level of commitment.
Why Elysium is keeping things in-house
One of Elysium’s stated goals is avoiding liquidity fragmentation by keeping trading activity inside the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Fragmentation happens when the same asset trades across many disconnected venues, thinning out each pool.
By quoting pools in HYPE and routing launches through a shared Uniswap architecture, Elysium is trying to keep liquidity concentrated.
The approach follows standards set by existing launchpads like Supercolony and Citadel.
What this means for traders and builders
For HYPE holders, the design adds another use case for the token. HYPE serves as gas and as the quote asset for Uniswap V3 pools, so activity on Elysium ties directly back to it.
For token launchers, the no-bonding-curve model offers a cleaner path from creation to trading. Locked liquidity at launch may also reduce one classic risk, where creators pull liquidity out from under buyers.
The lack of official Uniswap Labs support is the variable to watch. The research suggests investors should exercise caution while protocol deployments remain restricted to ecosystem projects.
Any formal statement from Uniswap Labs would change the calculus. Until then, the integration rests on deployed contracts rather than a partnership with the protocol’s core developers.
The next checkpoint is November 9, 2026.
