It was a scary week for Oklahoma Sooners sophomore offensive lineman Sean Hutton, who collapsed at practice on Wednesday with a non-contact injury and was taken to the hospital to be evaluated further, according to reports. The team called it a "rare medical event". However, he and his teammates got great news on Saturday evening.
During OU's 23-15 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, the team honored Hutton with stickers on their helmets that said "SH". After the game, Venables announced to the team that Hutton had been released from the hospital, and Hutton even appeared via FaceTime to celebrate the win with the team.
Our players will wear stickers on the backs of their helmets today in support of sophomore Sean Hutton, who experienced a rare medical event Wednesday and remains hospitalized.

"You think you had some adversity today?," Venables asked the team. "How about if you’re Sean Hutton, huh? How about if you’re Sean Hutton? Do you think he wishes he was here with us right now? Okay, he got released from the hospital today!"
Fellow offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, Hutton's longtime friend, also confirmed that Hutton had been released and was doing well. The two played together at Lewisville (Texas) High School before coming to OU in the 2025 recruiting class. Hutton was initially a walk-on, but he was placed on scholarship on September 4th.
