The Seattle Seahawks entered Week 7's Sunday Night Football contest versus the Kansas City Chiefs with a struggling run game. On the flip side, former Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker has been dominating for the Chiefs. Well, it was opposite day as Seattle dominated in the trenches en route to a massive 20-3 primetime victory.
The Seahawks outgained the Chiefs 153-50 on the ground. Walker, the league leading rusher entering Week 7, was limited to 36 yards on 14 carries. The Super Bowl LX MVP was limited to 2.6 yards per carry. Walker's longest gain went for seven yards. It was season-lows across the entire board for him. The Seahawks' front seven played an aggressive brand of football.
Even without Zach Charbonnet, the Seahawks ran the football effectively. Emanuel Wilson was excellent, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown via 24 carries. Wilson averaged an impactful 4.2 yards per carry, and his 21-yard rushing score in the fourth quarter officially put the game out of reach.
Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Fleury finally unlocked the rushing attack. Getting right guard Anthony Bradford back in the lineup was also huge. The Seahawks played complimentary football on both sides of the trenches and dominated the Chiefs in the ground game.
