(ANSA) - HANOI, 27 OTT - Twenty Vietnamese students participated last Saturday in Hanoi in a masterclass dedicated to Italian pasta, organized by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam to mark World Pasta Day 2026, with the support of Aliseo International Trade and Pegasus International College. The event featured Italian chef Nico Ceccomoro, who guided the participants through a journey exploring preparation techniques and regional culinary traditions. During the morning, the students explored the differences between fresh and dried pasta, learned about some of the main specialties from various Italian regions, and took part in hands-on exercises that culminated in the preparation of various dishes. Pasta is one of Italy’s most widely consumed agri-food products internationally: in 2025, Italy produced approximately 4.2 million metric tons of it, exporting over 60%. Ambassador Marco della Seta attended the event, presenting the students with certificates of participation and highlighting their contribution to promoting authentic Italian cuisine—recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage—and to strengthening the presence of “Made in Italy” products in Vietnam.
