Cam Skattebo is going to keep up his physical run style, even if he has to "play for free."
The New York Giants running back told reporters on Sunday, Oct. 25 that he felt some hypocrisy from the NFL after officials flagged him for unnecessary roughness during the Giants' win over the Houston Texans.
"The NFL loves to post me (on social media) when I do stuff like that but also wants to take stuff from me. I'm going to run the ball like I want to run the ball, and if I'm going to continue to get flags for it or fines for it, I guess I'm going to play for free," Skattebo said.

Game officials called the penalty on Skattebo for lowering his head as he ran into a defender in the first quarter. The flag backed the Giants up 13 yards – half the distance to their own goal-line.

Skattebo has already been fined for a similar play this year. At the beginning of the month, the NFL issued the Giants' running back a $7,073 fine for "illegal helmet contact on a running play," per ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
The second-year back finished the Week 7 game in Houston with a season-high 124 rushing yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. His 42-yard run to set up the Giants' game-winning touchdown in overtime was also a career-long.
