KUALA LUMPUR: SNT Global Logistics Sdn Bhd has uneviled its RM80 million smart warehouse in Shah Alam, marking a significant milestone in the company's 20-year journey and its continued investment in technology-driven logistics.
Spanning 175,000 sq ft, the new facility integrates advanced automation and smart warehouse technologies to improve efficiency, expand fulfilment capabilities and support the growing needs of businesses across multiple sales channels.
The new warehouse combines robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and automated systems with SNT's internally developed warehouse management system software to improve inventory management, goods movement, sorting and order fulfilment.
SNT said these technologies improves operational efficiency by 50 per cent and increase fulfilment throughput by 100 per cent.
Founder and chief executive officer David Wong said logistics has always been viewed primarily as a back-end cost centre.
"Today, it has become an important factor in determining how successfully businesses compete, expand, and respond to new opportunities.
"SNT recognised this shift early and we have continuously evolved our capabilities over the past two decades, guided by our vision to be our customers' greatest advantage for growth.
"Our ambition is not simply to build bigger warehouses or move more goods, but to create lasting value for our customers while helping raise the standard of fulfilment services in Malaysia," he said in a statement.
SNT's integrated service network allows businesses to manage orders across online and offline sales channels through one provider, reducing the need to coordinate multiple logistics operators.
The warehouse has also received GreenRE gold certification for its building design, which incorporates solar energy, rainwater harvesting, water-efficient systems and environmentally friendly building materials.
These features are intended to reduce the facility's environmental footprint and resource consumption.
