Barcelona are monitoring Leeds United centre-back Tarik Muharemovic as Hansi Flick considers options to strengthen his defence.
According to TeamTALK (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international has attracted interest from several European giants, including the Blaugrana, following an impressive start to life in England.
However, Leeds are reluctant to sell the defender so soon after signing him, and his valuation could rise beyond €70 million ahead of the summer 2027 transfer window.
Barcelona identify Muharemovic as another defensive target
Barcelona’s defensive injury problems have increased the pressure on Flick’s squad, prompting speculation about potential reinforcements.
Finn Jeltsch, the 20-year-old Stuttgart centre-back, has recently been linked with the Catalan club, but Muharemovic has now emerged as another possible candidate.
According to the report, Barcelona are among the clubs closely following the Bosnian defender’s performances.

A left-footed centre-back standing 1.92 metres tall, Muharemovic offers both aerial strength and a profile that could appeal to teams looking to build from the back.
Leeds signed him for €37 million last summer, and he has quickly become an important member of their side. The defender has started the season impressively, helping his new club make a strong start to their Premier League campaign.
As such, Barcelon a have taken interest in his situation with a potential move being considered for the summer of 2027 rather than January.
That timeline would give the La Liga champions an opportunity to continue assessing his development while evaluating their defensive needs.
Inter Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Munich also interested
Barcelona are not alone in monitoring Muharemovic. The report states that Inter Milan, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also interested in the Bosnian international, with the Italian club particularly keen on securing his signature.
Muharemovic previously made an impression in Serie A with Sassuolo. Inter had already explored the possibility of signing him during the summer, amid uncertainty surrounding Alessandro Bastoni’s future.
His performances in England have only strengthened his reputation. Muharemovic has played every minute of Leeds’ first 10 matches of the season, recording two assists in the Premier League.

Those contributions have helped establish him as a significant player for Leeds, while his physical attributes and ability to contribute in possession make him an attractive prospect for clubs across Europe.
However, Leeds have little reason to consider selling a player they signed only three months ago. His market valuation is reportedly rising and could exceed €70 million, almost double the fee the English club paid to secure his services.
Muharemovic’s profile makes him an intriguing option for Barcelona, particularly given his left foot, aerial presence and growing experience at the highest level. Yet a potential price exceeding €70 million would turn the pursuit into a major financial commitment.
With Leeds under no immediate pressure to sell, Barcelona would need to decide whether he represents a priority target worth pursuing or whether more affordable alternatives could address Flick’s defensive concerns.
