Oppo’s next camera flagship could give mobile photographers more control over tricky lighting and distant subjects, with a leaked specification sheet pointing to multiple 200-megapixel cameras and a potentially larger 10x optical zoom sensor.
According to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the Oppo Find X10 Ultra is being tested with a 200MP main camera featuring a 1/1.12-inch sensor and lateral overflow integration capacitor (LOFIC) technology. The sensor could use Samsung’s HPA or HPU hardware, although the final component remains unconfirmed.
The reported upgrade is notable because the Find X9 Ultra already uses a 200MP main sensor of the same size. The newer model’s advantage could therefore come less from additional resolution and more from improved dynamic range.
LOFIC technology helps image sensors handle the electrical charge generated by bright light, potentially improving dynamic range and preserving details that might otherwise be lost in overexposed areas.
In practice, this could help the camera capture scenes with strong contrasts, such as bright skies above shadowed buildings, although image processing will also influence the results.
Two periscope cameras target different zoom levels
The leak also points to a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a roughly 1/1.3-inch sensor, alongside a separate 50MP periscope lens designed for 10x optical zoom.
Oppo is reportedly considering a larger 1/1.95-inch sensor for the 10x camera. However, if mass production runs into delays, the company could use a smaller 1/2.76-inch alternative, according to Digital Chat Station. The tipster has not confirmed the final sensor selection.
That decision could significantly affect the finished camera system. A larger sensor generally captures more light, potentially improving image quality in dim conditions when shooting distant subjects. A smaller component could make production easier, but might limit those gains.
A 100MP square-format selfie camera is also reportedly under consideration, potentially doubling the resolution of the Find X9 Ultra’s front camera. The square sensor could provide more flexibility when framing portrait or landscape selfies, depending on how Oppo implements the feature in its camera software.
A larger screen and battery are also rumored
Beyond photography, the Find X10 Ultra could feature a 6.89-inch BOE display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Other rumored specifications include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and an 8,500mAh battery.
Oppo has not confirmed these specifications, pricing, or a launch date. According to reports, the phone is expected to debut in China during the first half of 2027.

What the rumored upgrades could mean for buyers
For users choosing a flagship phone, the Find X10 Ultra could be worth watching if long-range photography, portraits and difficult lighting are priorities. The square selfie camera could also appeal to creators who regularly produce content in different aspect ratios.
However, sensor size, lens quality, autofocus, and image processing will determine whether those components deliver noticeable improvements. More megapixels do not automatically produce sharper images, especially in low light.
The unresolved 10x camera sensor is particularly important. If Oppo chooses the smaller alternative, the benefits of the reported upgrade could be more limited than early specifications suggest.
For buyers considering the Find X9 Ultra, the decision may come down to timing and priorities. Those who need a phone now can evaluate the existing model’s demonstrated camera performance, while photography enthusiasts interested in the rumored upgrades may prefer to wait for official details.
Oppo has not confirmed the Find X10 Ultra’s final specifications, pricing, or availability. Until the company announces the device and independent camera tests become available, the reported improvements remain possibilities rather than proven advantages.
The sensor choice matters particularly for long-range photography, where telephoto cameras often have less light available than a phone’s main camera. A larger sensor could help preserve detail and reduce noise when shooting distant subjects in challenging conditions, although the final results would also depend on the lens, stabilization, and image-processing software.
