It’s been a good few days for Scott Frost.
On Oct. 24, his UCF Knights earned the program’s first victory over a top-five team by upsetting No. 2 BYU in double overtime. On Oct. 26, Frost continued to reap the rewards.
He was named Bear Bryant National Coach of the Week.
“The players make the difference,” Frost said during his Monday press conference. “You can lead a horse to water. At the end of the day, you fight to put yourself in a game and then the players have got to make the plays at the end of the game ... We probably had 20 guys that made the play we needed at the end of that game.”

Frost now owns four of the Knights’ 11 all-time victories over ranked opponents. He oversaw three of them during UCF’s undefeated 2017 campaign.
That same season, he received the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award.
