Alexia Putellas is the winner of the 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or, marking the third time the Spanish midfielder captured the honor.

Putellas won in 2021, '22 and now. Barca's Altana Bonmati won in 2023, '24 and 25.

Putellas currently plays for the London City Lionesses after spending 14 years with Barca. She also plays for the Spanish National Team.

Putellas' award capped a comeback from a severe ACL injury suffered in 2022 that stymied her ability to play in previous years.

She is considered one of the greatest female soccer players in the sport's history.
